At least I’m doing well in the UB points arena. It’s kinda funny, I wish PokerStars would let you play cash games or tourneys for points, but they don’t, only big MTTs, and you earn them so slowly, you don’t get many chances with them. Last year, I won some Stars points and then won my way into the Sunday Million with them, which was cool, but I didn’t fare well in that tourney at all. On UB, they let you play SNGs, cash games, or whatever. So, as a joke when I had a couple hundred, I started playing 100 sitngos. I turned that into 1000 pretty quickly. I started playing 10/25 ‘cash’ ring games, just leaving one open and playing it occasionally. I’m up to 8626, almost enough for a shirt @8700. I could get a sling backpack or a hat, but I’d like to see how far I can go with them. I also have enough to play some Aruba feeder satellites. I’ve done well in the past in the Stars points WSOP supersatellites – earning several satellite tickets, but could never win any of the satellites to get into the WSOP main event. The players are pretty bad in the points games, so I may mess with that some more. who knows. For fun, I’m adding my UPoints to my status from now on.
